Our amazing client is hiring a Backend Developer Lead to join their core tech team and drive the architecture, scalability, and reliability of their platform.


The startup has been born out of Sheba Medical Center, and now is revolutionizing personalized surgery with AI and 3D printing. Their fully automated system transforms CT/MRI scans into 3D models, enables intuitive surgical planning, and generates custom surgical tools or implants in minutes. With strong backing from leading SaaS investors and global implant companies, they’ve already achieved product-market fit and supported hundreds of real-world surgeries.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services

  • Lead system architecture, documentation, and design reviews

  • Collaborate closely with AI, product and frontend to build seamless workflows

  • Maintain strict standards for security, privacy, and compliance in healthcare systems

  • Drive DevOps, CI/CD, integrations and infrastructure best practices to ensure reliability at scale

  • Mentor and guide engineers as we grow our backend capabilities

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of backend development experience in Python and Node.js

  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, row-level security)

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS, EKS)

  • Proven background in DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes

  • BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

  • Independent and proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with microservices or event-driven architectures

  • Background in scaling systems in regulated or high-compliance environments
